Stampin Magazine Inspirations

Stampin' Up demonstraters receive a monthly magazine with sales articles and card ideas.  I was inspired to make these cards from ones in the magazines.  None of them are exactly the same, but they have similar layouts and color combinations.
This is a 3x3 thank you card.
Cardstock:  So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Whispher White
Stamps:  Flower Fest, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Melon Mambo, So Saffron
Accessories:  Rhinestones, Paper crimper

This is a birthday card in soft colors.
Cardstock:  Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Grey, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Blushing Bride
Stamps:  Flower Fest, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories:  White ribbon, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Pearls

This card is an odd size.  I wanted it to be 6x 3/14, but I didn't have any Stampin' Up paper that was 12x12, so it is 51/2 by 31/4.  It will fit in SU small open end envelopes.
Cardstock:  Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight
Stamps:  Word Play
Accessories:  Brights Buttons, Linen Thread, Sizzix Daisies 2 Die

Red and Turquoise

I've seen this color combination several times in the last couple of weeks and thought it would make a great card.  The new set from the new SU catalog with doilies has also popped up several times.  I remembered this Day of Gratitude set from last fall which is also in the new catalog and thought it would create a similar look.
Cardstock:  Read Red, Tempting Turqoise, Whisper White
Stamps:  Day of Gratitude, Tiny Tags
Accessories:  Tiny Tags punch, Scallop Trip Border punh, Real Read satin ribbon, white embossing powder, Vintage Trinkets

Monogrammed Notecards

One of the things I like about the Vintage Vogue set is the large letter F.  In the set that F is supposed to be for Friends, but since it is the first letter of my last name I used it to create some blank notecards to keep on hand for when I need to write quick notes.

Bath and Body Inspiration

I received a gift in a Bath and Body gift bag that had these four colors on it--on per side.  I thought the color combination was interesting so tried it for a card.  It's a little different, but I like it.  I enjoy finding inspiration all around me for color combinations or design ideas.

Thank You Stack

I made a stack of simple one layer cards to use as thank you notes for students who gave me holiday gifts as well as for my co-workers who brought in meals following my total hip replacement surgery on Dec. 20.  Here's a pic of the stack all tied up together.  This Frosty set is retired, but I still love it.

A Flower For All Seasons

This is a set of thank you cards that I made for Matthew's PreK teacher for Christmas.   As a teacher myself I can always use thank you notes, so I made a set of 8 and tied them up with a ribbon for her.  I hope she uses them and enjoys them.

Christmas Card Choices

My husband needed quite a stack of cards to send to the volunteers he supervises through his work in a state prison.  These are the designs I made for him to mail.
This first card uses a retired snowflake set along with the snowflakes embossing folder and the stick on rhinestones.  Again I'm using ribbon from my stash.

This card doesn't have much stamping, but uses the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder which I love, love, love!  The colors used are soft suede on the bottom, cherry cobbler on the top and always artichoke for the punched scallop.  This is my favorite of the three designs he sent out.

This Dasher stamp makes it so easy to create quick and easy Christmas cards.  The reindeer is stamped with chocolate chip ink on whisper white cardstock and then layered on always artichoke and real red.  The read red was embossed using Petals-a-Plenty folder because the flowers remind me of poinsettias.

Frosty Peek-a-boo

I saw this peek-a-book technique on a blog, but I don't remember which one now.  I'm going to have to be way better about that now that I'm blogging myself.  LOL  I used Nestabilities to cut the oval into the card after running it the the Snowflakes embossing folder.  I added another snowflake to the outside, but most of the stamping was on the inside.  The ribbon was some I had on hand.  I'm trying to use up some of my stash so I can get new (of course)!
The inside was also embellished with stick-on rhinestones.  The snowman was colored with colored pencils and a blending pen.
